#GOJUSTHR hold its 3rd Project Steering Committee Meeting with CHR, EU, and AECID
The Governance in Justice II: The Human Rights Component, through the leadership of Commission on Human Rights (CHR) Chairperson Richard P. Palpal-latoc and European Union (EU) Head of Cooperation Christoph Wagner, holds its second project steering committee meeting on Wednesday, 7 June, to look back on the project’s milestones and identify its ways forward.
"The human rights work is never-ending. It is an evolving and difficult cause that requires the collaboration and cooperation of all. We must sustain our good practices and should be ready to adapt to changes for by the times. In this regard, we are fortunate to have GOJUST 2 by our side, supporting our actions and efforts for the faithful execution of our mandate as the country's national institution responsible for the protection and promotion of human rights following universal human rights principles and standards." remarked Chairperson Palpal-latoc during his welcome address.
Present at the meeting are European Union in the Philippines Programme Head Alicia Lauro Peña, AECID Philippines for International Development Cooperation Project Manager Almudena Montoliu, DT Global Project Management Division Director Ricardo del Pozo, DT Global Project Manager Maria Paula Jimenez, CHR Executive Director Atty. Jacqueline Ann De Guia, CHR Planning and Management Office OIC Greta Beltran-Tarun, CHR Project Management Division Chief Princess Molleno, and the GOJUST II-HR Technical Assistance Team, composed of Robert Francis Garcia, Arvin Chua, and Rey Guanzon.
